Rosen Hicher walks for justice
French campaigner, Rosen Hicher, has arrived in Paris after walking 800 km to raise awareness about the harms of prostitution. Hicher, who was involved in prostitution for 22 years, is urging the French Senate to support a bill to adopt the Sex Buyer Law. This would mean that selling sex in France is decriminalised, while buying sex becomes a criminal offence.
“Nobody has the right to buy a woman, to put her up for sale”, Hircher said. “Now the fight has to continue, it has to move forward… We’ll win this battle. For me it’s the finest of the 21st century.”
